Post 16 Results at King Henry VIII School
This year has certainly been like no other however our students and staff rose to the challenge supported brilliantly by our parents, guardians and our governing body.
Our students are to be congratulated on their exceptional outcomes that reflect their hard work, dedication, resilience and resourcefulness over the past 18 months. For some students they have had to overcome significant barriers in their learning to secure such positive results.
Both students and staff embraced the summer assessment process ensuring it was rigorous and fair to every individual.
These positive outcomes have allowed nearly all King Henry VIII students to secure their first choice Higher Education courses.
We are also delighted to report that our strong tradition of students gaining places at Oxford or Cambridge continues with Sean Baldock securing a place at Hertford College, Oxford to study Biology and Alice Lang securing a place at St Anne’s College, Oxford to study music. Furthermore two students Catrina Higgins and Kimaya Kitson have secured places to study medicine at Southampton and Cardiff respectively in what has been a highly competitive year. These students are to be congratulated on their additional hard work that allowed them to secure places on such prestigious courses.
These exceptional outcomes truly reflect the excellent student/teacher relationships, high quality teaching and the comprehensive personalised support, guidance and intervention on offer to all students at KHS. It is also important to note the contribution of our highly beneficial Accelerated Learning Programme and our rich online learning offer that allowed students to achieve such excellent outcomes.
And finally, in what has been an extremely challenging year we wish to congratulate all our students and wish them well as they embark on the next stage of their learning.
