Term-Time Holidays
Parents are not encouraged to take their children out of school during term time to go on family holidays.
Whenever possible family holidays should be taken during official school holidays. Loss of attendance can adversely affect a pupil's chance of success in school.
In exceptional circumstances, the Head teacher is able to sanction up to ten days absence from school for a child to participate in a family holiday.
Applications to do so should be made on the form provided and submitted prior to the commencement of the holiday period.
Permission will normally be granted only on the understanding that the pupil will make up all work covered during the period of absence.
