School Council
What Are We Doing at The Moment?
As usual we are receiving numerous complaints (but also some compliments) about the canteen. These are being noted, and Mr Mullaney the school business manager is raising the concerns at frequent meetings with the caterers.
We are trying to establish a link with a school in a coffee growing area called Yirgacheffe in Ethiopia. Our local hospital introduced us to the region, and a letter of introduction has been sent.
Members have recently taken part in an interview process for a new assistant head teacher.
A group of county councillors are coming in on November the 14th to discuss local issues with us as part of Local Democracy Day.
We are starting a collection for good condition, non-fiction books to be sent to the school of a tribe in Papua new Guinea who visited Mrs Binns last year (Any donations to Mrs Binns' office/ Miss Coopers' room please).
